Herbal Cough Syrup. There are many viral infections that are difficult to find what causes cold and cough. Running nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, sore throat, headache, and other symptoms are mostly the common causes of cold. Children get cold every year and is spread to parents as it is contagious. 

Fever, muscle pain, postnasal drip, decreased appetite are other symptoms. This cold may also end up in asthma, ear infection, pneumonia, etc. Cold viruses spread through airborne droplets when a person affected to cold, coughs or sneezes. Being close with an infected person is a risk.

 Cough is caused after 2 to 3 days of viral infection and might affect until a week. Some cough may cure faster, and some cough may extend for more than 10 to 20 days where it is necessary to consult a doctor. There are many home remedies which are much more effective than to visit a doctor. There are different types of cough: dry cough and chest cough. Dry cough gives irritation in the throat and chest cough is where extensive mucus is being produced blocking the airway passage. These are usually treated with medication.
